As producer:

  • Enemies of War, a one-hour, nationally televised documentary about civil war and human rights in El Salvador was produced by Bill Kavanagh in the field. The film was shot on location in El Salvador, Washington, D.C., and at the U.N.
  • Heathcare: Dollars and Sense, a half-hour panel discussion, hosted by Jim Lehrer Newshour correspondent Susan Dentzer. This program featured experts in healthcare from New Jersey and dealt with the uninsured and quality care issues. Broadcast fall, 2003, on the NJN public television network.
  • Story Café, a series for Rainbow Programming about the lives and works of storytellers.
  • Lower Manhattan Comes Back, a national news release about businesses returning to New York aired in 54 major markets.

As director:

  • Manhattan Connection, a weekly magazine and panel on U.S. culture for Reuters Television Brazilian television (GLOBO).
  • Home Workshop with Katie Brown, a pilot for an HGTV cable network series about crafts and home improvement with host Katie Brown.
  • World in Focus, a weekly half-hour interview series on world affairs for WNYC-TV and the Council on Foreign Relations.
  • Cable Crossings, a mini-soap opera for the America's Talking Network, a national cable network.

As cameraperson:

Kavanagh's work has been shown on The MacNeil-Lehrer Newshour, Rights and Wrongs on PBS, NBC's Dateline, Nickelodeon, and Visnews.
